After graduating from the University of Wisconsin and being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Ozanne worked as an associate attorney for some of San Diegoâ€™s most prestigious insurance defense firms. His initial practice focused on representing insurance companies and real estate developers in professional liability matters and subrogation claims related to complex real estate disputes.
Expanding his practice areas, Mr. Ozanne was asked to become general counsel for an insurance investment and general agency in Newport Beach, CA. There his practice centered on both litigation of contractual disputes as well as transactional matters related to capital raise evaluations, trusts, financing arrangements and private equity.
Finding a personal interest in insurance and finance, Mr. Ozanne accepted the general counsel position for UTC Financial, LLC, where he handled all litigation matters for the firm, while also collaborating with publically traded banks and hedge funds on capital investments and structured financing opportunities.
With over 17 years of litigation experience and drafting complex documents related to insurance and investment transactions, Mr. Ozanne currently represents a wide variety of businesses from real estate development firms to start-up companies, providing counsel on litigation matters and the creation of transactional documents and investor facing documents.
Mr. Ozanne resides in Carlsbad, CA with his wife and three children. Mr. Ozanne obtained his J.D. from the California Western School of Law in 1996.
Mr. Dawson has an extensive background in both litigation and transactional law. He has represented and provided guidance to both employers and employees for over 18 years. Serving as general counsel for a number companies, Mr. Dawsonâ€™s transactional practice has focused on complex business organization filings and the negotiation and drafting of a wide variety business contracts, both nationally and internationally. In this capacity, Mr. Dawsonâ€™s practice expanded to encompass insurance and estate planning, allowing clients and businesses to best protect their assets. He has helped many successful businesses develop strategic policies and procedures and designed practical methods to implement those plans. His background and real world experience have helped Mr. Dawson create innovative solutions for various business types, their employees, and owners.
Mr. Dawson continues to counsel Human Resource departments on wage and hour issues, workplace harassment, hiring and terminating employees and has litigated countless matters on behalf of both businesses and employees in court and administrative hearings.
